Totally agree with Bill – my life changed when i stopped listening to the news ( which is only about negative news and forecast). Nevertheless, I have never been behind with was happening, because by the time I left my house, everyone out there were talking about it until the end of the day, when the news come on again…
I am not statistics.

Very important, what you said,. We have the choice to become useless and unproductive statistics, or to do something positive, in whatever area we choose.. As counselors we need to accomplish what we want to do as an example for our clients…in whatever area of guidance we choose to work.
This quick swift kick in the statistics gave me permission to respond to those who spout them–they say that 9 out of 10 businesses fail in the first year…. WHAT!–with the cold hard data that I am “not a statistic” and, even if I am, I am “a statistic of one.” My preparatory work, my competitive edge, and my delivery will carry the day, and I will succeed… inevitably.

Great message for the weekend. Statistics are interesting, but you can always be the exception to the norm. “It takes courage”, and all have it.
